Who am I?
Hi, and welcome to my website! To begin with, I don’t refer to myself as a "professional" photographer, meaning that I do not make 50% or more of my income off photography. Instead, I like to think of myself as a sort of perpetual student of photography. Part of the fun of photography for me is constantly experimenting with concepts which are new to me. Some of these stick, while others may not. I started my interest with digital in 2008 when I picked up a Nikon D40x (my first SLR). In 2009, I had my first image published in Our State Magazine’s August reader photo contest issue. As you can tell by the photos on the site, I have had a long–time interest in wolves and dogs. Interning at Wolf Park during the fall of 2010 was a great opportunity to learn more about canine behavior and ecology. (It also provided some excellent photographic opportunities!) Currently, I try to split my time between Indiana and North Carolina doing freelance work.
