Though I don’t have a permanent feeder at my current home, the porch is occasionally visited by birds. In the summer, I’ve been hanging a hummingbird feeder which usually attracts a couple of regulars. In winter, the birds will often visit for shelter from a storm. A couple weekends ago, we had a fairly cold snap and quite a bit of snow and ice – at least as far as central NC goes. We had put out a bird bell which I received as a gift for the holiday, so I snapped a couple pictures of the Cardinal pair that stopped by for a bit of shelter and a bite to eat.
